In this course, you will learn how to design and implement QGIS Models to automate your GIS workflows. Starting with a brief review of QGIS’s analytical structure, you’ll learn how to break down a GIS process into individual steps and then combine those steps into a repeatable, automated model. You will become familiar with the QGIS Model Builder interface, understanding where to find the tools you need and how to use them in sequence to achieve your desired analysis.
As you progress, you will begin constructing your own models to perform advanced spatial analyses. These workflows will allow you to integrate various datasets, apply a series of spatial operations, and output visualizations or insights that would otherwise take significant manual effort. You will also explore how QGIS Models are used across different disciplines—from environmental assessments to urban development and logistics—giving you the versatility to apply your new skills in many contexts.
