Remote Sensing with EOS

Total study time: 24 hours

How can you track real-time changes on Earth from your browser? In this one-on-one course, you’ll learn how to use satellite imagery to reveal hidden patterns and improve decision-making. You’ll work with the EOS Platform, receiving personal guidance to apply remote sensing directly in your field.

Remote Sensing with the EOS platform

Remote sensing is a technique that collects information about the Earth’s surface without physical contact. Satellites continuously capture images, enabling you to monitor changes like deforestation, urban growth, and agricultural shifts. These images offer valuable insights for spatial planning, environmental management, and research.

The EOS Platform is an online tool that helps you analyze, store, and visualize satellite imagery. Combining user-friendly features with advanced algorithms, it allows you to quickly process geospatial data and convert it into clear, actionable insights.

By integrating remote sensing with EOS, you gain access to real-time, objective data that’s both scalable and efficient, serving as a powerful alternative to traditional measurements.

This course not only explains the fundamentals of remote sensing but also teaches you how to apply it effectively. Through practical examples, you’ll develop the skills needed to work independently with satellite data.

What will you learn in this blended learning course?

Remote sensing is all about turning satellite imagery into actionable insights. Using the EOS Platform, you’ll work with real Earth observation examples and learn how to apply satellite data for spatial and environmental analysis.

You’ll start by recognizing, selecting, and interpreting various geodata types, such as urban changes or vegetation patterns. By using spectral indices, you’ll uncover specific developments, like those in agricultural zones or natural areas.

The platform will guide you through analyzing, combining, and visualizing data. You’ll master the entire satellite image processing workflow, from raw data to useful maps and insights. With this knowledge, you’ll be ready to use remote sensing for spatial planning, agricultural monitoring, or climate research.

Why choose this Remote Sensing with EOS course?

Blended learning offers the best of both worlds—self-paced study combined with interactive live sessions, allowing you to build practical skills in remote sensing using the EOS Platform.

We begin with a live session where you’ll dive straight into real satellite images. Under the guidance of experts, you’ll analyze surface changes, visualize data, and apply your insights to real-world challenges.

Next, the self-paced modules give you the freedom to explore key remote sensing concepts at your own pace. You’ll learn how to handle Earth observation data, use spectral indices, and process satellite images using EOS tools like LandViewer and EOS Processing.

Then, during the second live session, you’ll apply everything you’ve learned to real-life scenarios. You’ll refine your techniques, troubleshoot challenges, and receive feedback as you build models and maps for decision-making in spatial planning and environmental management.

A major highlight of this course is its case-based approach, which mirrors real-world tasks in remote sensing. You’ll create practical outputs that can be directly applied to your work.

By combining expert-led training with flexible learning, this course ensures that you don’t just learn how to use the EOS Platform—you’ll gain the expertise to apply remote sensing techniques effectively. By the end, you’ll be capable of independently analyzing, interpreting, and applying satellite imagery for better decision-making.
